I/O PSYCHOLOGY PROJECT-BASED CONSULTING CERTIFICATE PROGRAM
Scope and Aim
In this interactive industrial and organizational psychology consulting certificate program, participants complete an organizational project in which they (a) identify I/O psychology related problems using employee focus groups, interviews, and/or surveys, (b) propose a change/intervention to resolve the problem, (c) design an intervention program, (d) implement the program and (e) provide an initial follow-up of program evaluation. The purpose of the projects is to improve organizational functioning, effectiveness, efficiency and/or employee well-being.
Participants will be introduced key terminology in I/O psychology besides completing their consulting projects. The certificate program aims to enhance participants’ consulting skills and confidence in I/O psychology practice.
The program includes open to public presentations at the completion of the projects. İstanbul Bilgi University will announce the event to organizations and the participants can also invite guests. The goal of the presentations is to provide participants the opportunity to demonstrate their skills to the wider practicing community.
Who Can Participate
Participants will be HR employees, coaches, trainers, with a background in organizational behavior/psychology practice/education, who are interested in enhancing their consulting skills in industrial and organizational psychology.
Program Details
· 14-week program, including six group sessions (four of them face-to-face on Saturdays, 9:00-16:00; two of them on a weekday online (19:00-22:00).
· For face-to-face group sessions, lunch break (12:00-13:00) and 15-minute coffee breaks will be included.

Language
· Course instruction will be in English; Turkish will be used when necessary.
· Field projects, including interviews, analysis and intervention can be conducted in Turkish.
· Coaching sessions can be conducted both in Turkish and English.
· Open to public presentations at the end of the program will be completed in Turkish.
I/O Psychology Consulting Project Steps
1. Apply need analysis using interviews, focus groups and/or surveys with employees as methods of identifying areas in need of change.
2. Interpret the results of need analysis.
3. Identify the problem(s) within I/O psychology terminology.
4. Propose a solution as an intervention for change.
5. Identify recipients and design intervention materials.
6. Pilot test materials.
7. Schedule intervention.
8. Implement the intervention.
9. Identify follow-up measures.
10. Follow-up measure implementation.
11. Long-term plans (follow-ups and interventions).

Program Details Certificate
At the end of the training, the participants will receive a “Certificate of Achievement” approved by İstanbul Bilgi University and BİLGİ Education.
